Giving to others during times of tragedy is a natural and empathetic response to upsetting world events. Money and support are both ways of putting positive energy out into the community. They restore hope and love after negative energy has barreled through and caused pain and devastation. Those who do take action to give something to the victims are likely to feel better after they’ve released some positive energy into the community.
If you feel compelled to do something but don’t know where to start check out www.GivingFirst.org. They’re raising funds that go to well-respected charities across Colorado that are supporting the wildfire and shooting victims. These charitable organizations include many mental health organizations whose services can make an incredible impact of the lives of these victims. My wish for every single victim is that they have access to affordable mental health support.
